[Commlist] Teaching post @ Media Sheffield Hallam University

The Department of Media Arts and Communication at Sheffield Hallam 
University (UK) is looking for a suitable candidate to cover the 
second-year BA Media undergraduate module Media, Power and Politics, 
with a focus on political communication, digital governance, and 
datafication. The module runs from January to April 2021. The candidate 
would be required to redesign the contents of the module within the 
approved module descriptor, cover lectures, and x2 seminars, which will 
all be delivered online.

The module provides students with an introduction to the complex 
relationship between politics and the media in democratic societies, 
explore the key factors that shape the way politics is represented by 
the media and consider the impact on political thought and action. The 
module is focused on media discussions involving technology, social 
media, and the Internet.

In the first instance, we would invite brief biographies / CVs be sent 
to (mon.rodriguez /at/ shu.ac.uk) <mailto:(mon.rodriguez /at/ shu.ac.uk)> by January 
1^st with the Subject “MPP Candidate”.

This is a temporary role to cover for a member of staff now on leave 
after winning a major research contract.
