[Commlist] International Summer School on Linguistics, Cognition and Culture

The 18th annual New York-St. Petersburg Institute of Linguistics, Cognition and Culture (NYI-2020) is an advanced interdisciplinary summer school. NYI is open to PhD students and young researchers from all relevant backgrounds and countries. All classes are taught in English. Dormitory space and visa support are available. 15 merit-based full tuition waivers are available for applications received by March 15.

Participants create their own study program from seminars in the following fields:

- Cultural Studies (Critical Cultural Studies, Women’s & Gender Studies, Film & Media Studies,…) - Generative Linguistics (Syntax, Semantics, Phonology, Morphology, Computational)
- Cognitive Science (Language & Mind, Ambiguity, Consciousness)
