[Commlist] New Open Access Book "European E-Democracy in Practice" and new series

Thu Nov 21 14:54:08 GMT 2019

A new open access book from Springer on "European E-Democracy in Practice," Hennen et al., eds.  It identifies the preconditions, best practices and shortcomings of e-participation

practices in connection with EU decision-making procedures and institutions. The

book features case studies on parliamentary monitoring, e-voting practices, and e-publics, and

offers recommendations for improving the integration of e-democracy in European politics and

governance.

Norbert Kersting (the vice-chair of RC10) and I are the editors of a new series (see below) and we are welcoming this first book in the series, which we think will make a great contribution with its rigorous scholarship and thoughtful recommendations.   Please see more information below, if you have a book that you would like to have considered for the series in the future.
