[Commlist] FACT///.Mapping Feminists Coding Practices Symposium - Call for papers/abstracts

FACT///. network <http://fact.network/> is delighted to announce a call 
for papers for ‘FACT///.Mapping Feminists Coding Practices’, a one day 
symposium, on 20th November at the Sussex Humanities Lab, University of 
Sussex. This event is part of the ‘Feminist Approaches to Computational 
Technology: Read, Write, Code’ programme, supported by the CHASE 
Doctoral Training Partnership and the Sussex Humanities Lab.

PhD researchers (theory, practice-based, practice-led) are invited to 
submit an abstract, which responds to affordances and resistances 
related to representation and/or engagement (e.g. diversity, inclusion) 
within the broad area of computational practices and thinking. How can 
these be understood as feminist approaches to computational technology? 
We mean “computational” in its widest possible interpretation.

Please send 300 word abstract and title, along with the author(s) 
biography (up to 150 words), your affiliation, and contact details by 
end of day Monday 14th October 2019 to (sharon.webb /at/ sussex.ac.uk)
