*LSE One Day Symposium: Migration and the Digital City***

The symposium brings together a very interesting group of scholars working on migration in the city and/or migrant digital communication and marks the nearing end of the research project /Digital Makings in the City of Refuge/ (PI: Myria Georgiou, Co-I: Suzanne Hall, Researcher: Deena Dajani).

The keynote will be delivered by Professor Engin Isin (Queen Mary) on “Decolonising Data Politics”. Other speakers include: Professor Marie Gillespie (The Open University), Dr Koen Leurs (Utrecht University),Dr Kevin Smets (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), Dr Tatiana Thieme (UCL; Project Camps 2 Cities), and others, including the project team (Deena Dajani, Myria Georgiou, Suzanne Hall) and the project’snon-academic partners /Proboscis/ (Giles Lane) and /Counterpoints Arts/ (Marcia Chandra).
