Job opening: Post-Doc Strategic Communication at Leipzig University,

The Institute of Communication and Media Studies at Leipzig University 
is looking for applications for a full-time post-doc position starting 
in March 2020 or later. The position includes teaching and adminstrative 
responsibilties at the Chair of Strategic Communication (Prof. Dr. 
Ansgar Zerfass) that require a profound knowledge of the German language.

ACADEMIC ASSISTANT (M/F/D) IN STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION

The position will initially be limited in time for 3 years with the 
possibility of extension for another 3 years. Pay grade: E 13 / W1.

Tasks:
- Research on strategic communication, corporate and organisational 
communication or advertising communication.
- Development of an internationally visible research program and of 
research proposals as part of the personal qualification track 
(habilitation).
- Teaching (currently 2 courses per semester) and methodological 
training in the bachelor's program Communication and Media Studies as 
well as teaching in the master's program Communication Management
- Course guidance and quality management for the Communication 
Management program

Prerequisites:
- Excellent doctoral degree in communication science or business 
administration / management, which must have been completed at the time 
of recruitment
- Experience in academic teaching and in the supervision of 
qualification theses
- Fluent spoken and written English and German
- Proven expertise in empirical social research (quantitative and 
qualitative)
- Visible publication experience
- Research in the field of strategic communication / corporate 
communications OR experience in related subject areas which enable you 
to teach and conduct research in this area is desired
