[Commlist] Thessaloniki International Media Summer Academy "Media 4.0 communicating and verifying he Global and Digital World"

Thessaloniki International Media Summer Academy is jointly organised  by School of Journalism and Mass Communications of Aristotle University Thessaloniki (AUTh), Jean Monnet Chair for European Integration Journalism along with Deutsche Welle Akademie(DW Akademie), University of Zagreb, University of Novi-Sad, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Center for Media and Information Literacy at Temple University,  National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Media Literacy Institute and Proof organisation. This year topic is  "Media 4.0 – communicating, verifying and reporting the Global and Digital World" and will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece between 5th-12th of July 2019.  The joint initiative   brings together the reputation, expertise of respected and well-known institutions from Europe, Asia and USA. In addition, it will have the support of established organisations, companies and think tanks (Representation of the European Commission in Greece, Aegean Airlines, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung etc).

Building on the success of the 2018 Summer Academy School, this year emphasis will be in "Disinformation, verification and Mobile Journalism". The intensive multi-disciplinary training course aims to provide in-depth knowledge and robust skills on important topics and evolutions in media and communication.  Participants in this course will emerge with a better understanding of the latest academic research, policy, market and professional trends in the focused area, as well as develop a network of colleagues to share their experiences, ideas and points of views. Thessaloniki International Media Summer Academy will address and focus on issues that are timely and
critically important:
1. New Trends in Media
2. Fighting disinformation
3. Mobile Journalism
4. Media Literacy
The Summer Academy intends to be a major forum where current issues and research developments will be presented. For this purpose, eminent international scholars will be invited to share their expertise in the form of lectures, collaborative study designs, digital content development, and new models.
