Thu Nov 16 23:01:28 GMT 2017
CAMEo the Research Institute for Cultural and Media Economies at the
University of Leicester invites applications for PhD studentships for
consideration for the AHRC Midland Three Cities Doctoral Studentship scheme.
CAMEo is an interdisciplinary research institute that focuses on the
dynamic relations between culture, media and economy. We study how
these relations are played out in the contexts of the cultural and
creative industries, media and the arts. We use the term ‘cultural and
media economies’ inclusively, to capture the whole range of productive
dynamics that characterise these various industries and activities.

organised, lived and experienced?
·*Cultural Production and Consumption*: How is cultural value produced
and consumed, legitimated and contested?
·*Texts and Trends:*How are cultural and economic formations
symbolically mediated through different technologies, platforms and texts?
