The Department of Film and Television Studies is looking to appoint an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor. This post represents an invaluable opportunity for an outstanding researcher and teacher to join the UK’s top-ranked Film and Television Studies department, as measured by the 2014 Research Assessment Exercise. The new appointee will carry out undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research activities and administrative duties for the Department and contribute to its reputation as a world leading centre for research-led pedagogy.

The new appointee will have an honours degree and a PhD in a relevant discipline and experience of undergraduate teaching in film and/or television studies. You will also have a clear research agenda and, in the case of an Associate Professor appointment, a strong record for producing world class publications. Applications should include a writing sample (either an article, or book chapter) of no more than 8,000 words. This should be submitted in electronic form.
Closing date: Friday 13th January 2017
Interview date: Tuesday 14th February 2017
