[ecrea] Reporter Ohne Grenzen, Project Manager & Coach on media pluralism/ownership project

Reporter ohne Grenzen e.V., is the German section of the international 
human rights organization Reporters without Borders – Reporters sans 
frontieÌres (RSF). We are currently expanding the implementation of a 
global research and advocacy project in the field of media pluralism for 
which we are recruiting several

Project Managers, Media Policy

Reporting to the project coordinator, duties will include, but not be 
limited to:

•     Field Assignment, facilitating the implementation of the Media 
Ownership Monitor in several countries (Turkey, Mongolia, Ukraine, The 
Philippines) particularly to

_ Serve as an operational interlocutor towards partner organization;

_ Coordinate and advise on the collaborative research activity;

_ Support final dissemination events;

·       Supervision and guidance of the country team, consisting of a 
local senior researcher and research assistant;

·       Provision of continuous feedback during the implementation, 
including a final review and development of the methodology where needed.

We expect the following profile of candidates:

•     Five years or more of progressive track record in either media 
science, communication studies or investigative journalism;

•     Proven knowledge of the current media pluralism and freedom of 
expression discourse;

•     Professional fluency in both English; good knowledge of German; 
preferably knowledge of Turkish

•     Experience in teaching/coaching small teams;

•     Intercultural sensitivity and curiosity, committed to do-no-harm 
principle;

•     Readiness to travel and work in challenging, volatile environments;

•     ICT savvy.

•     A full-time contract of three to four months, 2016, based in 
either Istanbul/ Turkey; Ulan Bator/ Mongolia, Manila/Philippines, 
Kyiv/Ukraine;
