The theme of *ISSHC 2015 *that will be held in Dubai between 1- 4
November 2015 is “Scars of Neoliberal Policies”. Our definition of
neoliberalism helps to tie together various public and private areas by
showing how market and democratic imperatives are in conflict there, and
how laws, politics and cultural understandings are mediating those
conflicts as a result of neoliberal policies.

Neoliberal policies that are applied in all over the world having
increasing effect not only on economic conditions but on social,
political, cultural lifes as well. The conflict between the market
imperatives and countervailing democratic demands for values such as
security, dignity, fairness, and solidarity creates wounded individuals
of various gender, ethnic, political and social groups. The scars of
Neoliberal Policies’ conflicts can be observed on exhausted, stressed
and neglected individuals increasingly. A multi disciplinary platform is
aimed to be provided by *ISSHC 2015 *to discuss the different ways of
experiences of such groups and individuals in their suffering,
resiliency, and resistance. *ISSHC 2015 *hopes to pave a way to develop
our scope to have more comprehensive aproach to the matter that will
help to open a gate for resistance and renewal by the gathering of the
scholars from different fields of social sciences.

*ISSHC 2015 *welcomes (20 min) presentations reflecting the impact and
