(in conjunction with ‘Conference on Digital Humanities 2015:
Digitization of the Humanities:
Technologizing Interconnections in Art, History and Literature’)
Extended Call for Papers
[The deadline for submission of abstracts is 28 September 2015]
We are delighted to invite you to submit abstracts to the Conference on
Digital Culture 2015: Animation Techniques and the Digital Art (in
conjunction with 'Conference on Digital Humanities 2015: Digitization of
the Humanities: Technologizing Interconnections in Art, History and
Literature ') to be held on 17th and 18th December 2015.
The rise of digital culture in recent decades has been attributed to the
maturity and wider application of digital technology in cultural
production and consumption in line with the increasing demand of digital
media images. The conference theme on digital imaging and
representations aims to provide a platform for exchanging fresh views on
both theoretical and empirical issues related to digital art forms,
which arise as a result of the use of digital imaging technology, such
as animation techniques in digital paintings. It also encourages
discussion on the impact of digital imaging on society and people.
We welcome submissions that inquire into digital culture from a variety
of perspectives including, but are not limited to, the following:
· Animation techniques and the digital art;
· Surrealism in 4D;
· The digitization of Chinese paintings;
· Digital Chinese ink in contemporary art;
· Image mapping and projection technologies;
· Digital visualization, presentation and realization;
· Digital image production and consumption; and
· The impacts of digital imaging on society and people.
The conference will take place in the School of Arts and Social
Sciences, The Open University of Hong Kong on 17-18 December 2015.
Abstracts should be submitted by 28 September 2015 through EasyChair via
this link: http://bit.ly/CDC2015_CFP.
