POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Visiting Assistant Professor
Department: COMMUNICATION
Close Date: 07/15/2015 or until position is filled
Anticipated Start Date: August 2015 (Fall 2015 Semester)
Summary of Job Duties: The J. William Fulbright College of Arts and
Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville invites nominations
and applications for two full-time non-tenure track visiting assistant
professor positions in the Department of Communication. These are
nine-month, one-year, non-renewable positions; part time hours may be
available also (please specify a preference in the cover letter).
Candidates should be qualified to teach the department’s courses in
Media, Community, and Citizenship, as well as Introduction to Electronic
Media. The successful candidate may also teach advanced undergraduate
courses from current department offerings in their areas of specialization.
Minimum Qualifications: The individuals selected will be expected to
possess the following required qualifications:
1. An earned doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited
institution in Communication or related discipline;
2. Demonstrated competency in the classroom commensurate with
institutions holding the highest Carnegie classification;
