Goldsmiths, University of London, Department of Media and Communications is advertising 2 new posts:

1. Lecturer in Media, Communications and Promotional Culture
Salary from: £34,953 to £47,293 pa incl
New Cross, London

Working within the world-leading Department of Media and Communications, you will participate in the Department’s teaching programme in general including by contributing to lectures and courses to the MA Brand, Communications and Culture and MA Promotional Media.You will be an outstanding researcher in the field with particular focus in the critical sociology of promotional culture and media. You will have an established national reputation and a developing international reputation along with a significant body of prestigious publications suitable to someone at this stage of their career. You will also be an excellent teacher and communicator and enjoy being part of a committed community of scholars and practitioners.

2. Part-time (0.5fte) Lecturer in Journalism
From: £17,476 to £23,646 pa incl
New Cross, London

Working within the world-leading Department of Media and Communications, you will participate in the Department’s teaching programme by leading courses in journalism (with a specific emphasis on news and online journalism)  on the new BA Journalism and at MA level. You will have extensive journalism experience and be used to working in a multi-platform environment. You will be committed to continued professional journalism practice and also be an active researcher in the field of journalism studies with a developing, high quality publication list. You will also be an excellent teacher and communicator and enjoy being part of a committed community of scholars and practitioners.
