As the event draws nearer, here is another reminder that registration is open for the Centre for Film Studies interdisciplinary symposium ‘Texture in Film’, 9th March, 2013, Kennedy Hall, University of St Andrews.

This symposium will seek to explore ways in which thinking about texture can reinvigorate discussion of film form across a variety of cinematic contexts; with particular emphasis on approaches drawn from understandings of texture originating in study of visual art, music and literature.

The day will close with an interdisciplinary roundtable event with the following panelists:  Alex Clayton (University of Bristol), Sarah Dillon (University of St Andrews), Ian Garwood (University of Glasgow)&  Alistair Rider (University of St Andrews).
