AHRC - White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities (WRoCAH) Studentships

Following the announcement that the White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities (WRoCAH) has received £19m from the AHRC to establish a Doctoral Training Partnership that will create over 300 PhD studentships and join the expertise of the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York, we are delighted to announce a range of AHRC-funded PhD opportunities in the Institute of Communications Studies.

Applicants for an AHRC studentship must have applied for a place and may only apply for funding at one of Leeds, Sheffield or York. The studentship application form and details of how to apply are only available from the WRoCAH websitehttp://www.arts-and-humanities.whiterose.ac.uk/

The closing date for applications is 3 February 2014. Successful applicants will receive notice by the end of April 2014.
ESRC White Rose Doctoral Training Centre Studentship

The Economic & Social Research Council is the main UK provider of postgraduate awards in the areas of economic and social sciences. The University of Leeds has been allocated studentships as part of the White Rose Doctoral Training Centre, a collaboration among the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield, and York. One award in the area of communication and media studies is available on either a 1+3 or +3 basis.

1+3 Studentships consist of a full-time integrated research-training Masters with a 3-year PhD programme. +3 Studentships are for full-time 3-year PhD study for applicants who have already completed an ESRC-recognised Master’s Degree or appropriate research training programme. The awards are for study commencing 1 October 2014 and cover full fees and maintenance.

The closing date for applications is 3 February 2014.
