For those not familiar with Norbert Wiener’s life and work, he had a 
strong interest in the relationship between technology and society.

We invite contributions for this conference on the various themes, 
whether from a contemporary, futuristic or historical perspective, 
within this topic that were of interest to Wiener and touched his life, 
including:

- Information ethics

- Technological innovation and economic development

- Critiques of intellectual property

- Automation and the future of work -> digital labour

- Cyber warfare and crime

- Science fiction as social commentary

- Political interference with academic research and the militarisation 
of science
