Murdoch is a University striving to make a difference to the way we
live, think and understand each other and the world around us. Many of
our areas of expertise have global implications, including climate
change, food security and production, infectious diseases, veterinary
and medical science, mental health, politics and governance.
With a leadership team led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Richard
Higgott and three internationally respected Deputy Vice Chancellors,
Murdoch has gone ‘back to the future’ to re-establish its heritage of
research excellence and research-informed teaching. We have embarked
upon a bold restructure which will allow the University to achieve and
surpass its ambitious aims across research, teaching and learning and
engagement. With a focus on equipping graduates with both high
scholarly and ‘real world’ experience, Murdoch has invested in
state-of-the-art learning facilities for both teaching and research.
The School of Arts is one of Murdoch University’s most diverse schools
offering a broad range of courses in creative arts, media and
communication, social sciences and humanities at both undergraduate and
postgraduate level. Partnering in three separate countries, our
curriculum is international in its outlook and, because we are a
research university, our academic staff bring their latest research to
the classroom. We are home to approximately 150 PhD students, who are
researching on exciting and important topics relevant to the Australian
community and to the rest of the world.
The School is now seeking a Lecturer in Public Relations. Applications
are invited from candidates with an outstanding teaching portfolio,
relevant professional experience and a track record in industry
engagement. As Murdoch is a research-intensive university, candidates
must have a proven record of research in the field and should hold a
PhD, or have made substantial progress towards one.
