This conference will explore the role of public service broadcasting in 
contemporary media and culture as traditional broadcasters develop new 
strategies in order to retain and redefine their relevance for the 
digital era.  Combining academic perspectives from across various areas 
of media and cultural studies with those of industry practitioners, the 
event will offer delegates the opportunity to discuss the present and 
future of Public Service Broadcasting in Britain and beyond.
