[ecrea] Post-doctorate Position for Media and Cultural Studies

I am looking for a qualified candidate for a post-doctorate position 
under my supervision at the National University of Malaysia. The 
candidate should be interested in doing research on aspects of popular 
culture, film studies and visual literacy.

Ability to carry out independent research, work in a team and publish in 
high impact journals is desirable.

The candidate will be paid approximately RM5500 (or about UK pound 1000) 
per month for a year, and subsequently upon agreement. Occasional 
teaching is required. Other requirements will be discussed.

RM5500 is what I would say falls under the middle income bracket in 
Malaysia. English is our second language and most Malaysians can 
understand English very well. The National University of Malaysia (aka 
UKM) is a campus university situated at the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur and 
only 40 minutes from KL international airport.

Unfortunately, we can't pay for return air ticket.
