*Lectureship in Film and Television Practice *
*Salary (H3): £36,389 pa to £46,773 pa inc. of London Weighting*
The post is tenable from 1st September 2013 or as soon as possible
thereafter
Screen Media is seeking to recruit a dynamic teacher and high quality
researcher to join our innovative programme. We are looking for
applicants with expertise in some area of Film and Television Studies
and digital practice. We are seeking to recruit one *full time post at
Lecturer level.*
You will contribute to teaching on a range of undergraduate modules,
with a particular emphasis on modules that combine theory and practice,
from both mainstream and alternative perspectives, and will be a
researcher whose work can contribute to the Screen Media Research Centre.
You should have a good Honours degree and an advanced postgraduate
qualification (PhD) within the field of film and television studies. An
active commitment to research is essential, as is experience of teaching
in higher education.
We expect the successful applicant to pursue their own research activity
in line with the research strategy of the subject and to produce
research outcomes which will enhance the School’s research standing. We
expect the successful applicant to make a contribution to the
administration of the subject.
