New thematic section from Culture Unbound: “Creativity Unbound – 
Policies, Government and the Creative Industries”

Culture Unbound: Journal of Current Cultural Research has published a 
new thematic section entitled “Creativity Unbound – Policies, Government 
and the Creative Industries”, edited by Can-Seng Ooi and Birgit Stöber. 
This set of articles form a multi-faceted analysis of the promotion of 
the creative industries as a political project in various parts of the 
world, from Sweden to Singapore. The theme discusses different forms of 
creative industries such film Festivals, event Marketing and the fashion 
industry as well as the governance and political construction of 
citizens and societies as creative actors.
