Koc University, Department of Media and Visual
Arts, invites applications for full-time faculty
positions of any rank (beginning September
2011). Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D.
at the time of employment. Areas of
specialization are flexible, but candidates with
applied and/or research experience in the
following fields are especially encouraged to apply:
* Communication/cultural studies
* Film and video
* Interaction design and visual communication design
* Animation and gaming
The Department of Media and Visual Arts at Koc
University, founded in 2010, offers an
interdisciplinary curriculum that emphasizes
communications theory, management and visual
arts production. The successful candidates will
have the opportunity to contribute to the
development of the department. He or she will be
expected to teach two courses per semester and
is expected to have an active research,
publication and/or art production agenda.
Located in Istanbul, Turkey, Koc University is a
highly reputable private English-instruction
university. The College of Social Sciences and
Humanities, which houses the Department of Media
and Visual Arts, also offers degrees in
Psychology, Sociology, History, Philosophy,
Archeology and History of Art, and English
Language and Comparative Literature.
