£22,236 ? £25,751 per annum, pro rata
The Centre for the Study of Media and Culture
Small Nations based in the Cardiff School of
Creative and Cultural Industries at the
University of Glamorgan would like to appoint a
0.7 research assistant for seven months in the
first instance (with the possibility of further
extension) to help in the development of new
projects and the investigation of a wide range
of funding opportunities for the Centre?s work.
Researchers attached to the Centre include those
who work in Film, Television, Radio, Theatre,
Performance, Art, Design, Music, Journalism and
broad issues of Media and Communication Policy.
Projects to date have been undertaken with a
variety of partners including the BBC, the Film
Agency for Wales and Chapter Arts Centre as well
as projects funded by the UK research councils.
The appointee will assist in building upon this
success in collaboration with the Centre
Director, Professor Steve Blandford and the wide
range of academic staff associated with the
Centre?s work. The appointee will also need to
work collaboratively with a wide range of
external partners in both academia and the creative and cultural industries.
