>California State University Channel Islands (CI) seeks two faculty 
>members (1) Tenured Associate/Professor and (1) open rank to join a 
>new and rapidly growing Communication program. Created in 2007, our 
>program is based on the ways in which language is used in a variety 
>of specific social contexts. At present, the contexts that comprise 
>our three emphases include: Health Communication, Environmental 
>Communication, and Business/Nonprofit Communication. We seek 
>colleagues who will be able to teach foundational courses and 
>upper-division courses based in one or more of our areas of 
>emphasis, and who will also contribute to the continued development 
>of our program.

>All faculty at CI must be able to teach cooperatively across the 
>curriculum, including teaching interdisciplinary courses. Colleagues 
>who join us will be responsible for program development and 
>assessment, student advising, and university-wide committee work. A

>   *   Ph.D. in Communication
