Call For Papers: Book 2.0 ( http://bit.ly/Bookjournal)

Aims & Scope
Book 2.0 (http://bit.ly/Bookjournal) is a new, interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal which aims to publish articles and reviews on developments in book creation and design, including the latest advances in technology and software affecting illustration, design and book production.

It will also explore innovations in distribution, marketing and sales, and book consumption, and in the research, analysis and conservation of book-related professional practices. Book 2.0 aims to provide a forum for promoting and sharing the most original and progressive practice in the teaching of writing, illustration, book design, book production and publishing across all educational sectors.

Article Submissions
We invite articles on any aspect of the changing roles and functions of the book – from the perspective of both producers and consumers.

Topics may include (but are not limited to):

• New movements in the technology of the production, distribution and selling of books
• The future of ‘traditional’ book-making crafts
• The conservation and analysis of book-related professional practices
• Issues relating to education in book-related skills and contexts

Book 2.0 also welcomes examples of the most pioneering and inspiring writing, book-making and practice-based research by book artists, illustrators and authors.
Deadline for submissions September 30th 2010.

Potential contributors should send a 200–word abstract to the Principal Editor: Anthony Harrild ((anthony.harrild /at/ anglia.ac.uk) ).
