The aim and topic of the conference is to focus on the epistemological theoretical, methodological, technical and practical  contributions of the systemic approach throughout each disciplinary or interdisciplinary perspective rooted in the systemic approach (sociology, biology, economics, mathematics etc.) to  face the key global challenges /bifutrcations of our times for example ecology, energy, business development, wealth distribution, multiculturalism etc.
 
The official language of the conference is English and the conference structure is articulated into four panels each one lasting 3 hours divided among the panel Chairperson and the speakers (maximum 10 per panel, about 20 minutes per presentation so that the panel time allows both the chairperson comments and a “roundtable debate” among the spekers and with the public).
All the Chairpersons and speakers of the WCSA conference have to be WCSA members. It will be possible to Join WCSA as a member directly at the membership desk outside the confrence room.
 
The conference will be structured into four panels

System Theory and its Toolkit in the Knowledge Based World Society
Sunday 5th10am-1pmPanel III:
Systemic Paradigm Shifts and Global Socio- Economical Changes
Sunday 5th2pm-5pmPanel IV:
Complexity sciences and the key Global Challenges of Our Times
 
Conference Proceedings (the timetable would probably have some postponed deadlines)
Submission of a maximum 700 word abstract  - Deadline: April 30th, 2010
Feedback from the CPC:  May 15th, 2010
Submission of the complete paper (maximum 20 single spaced pages) to the CPC - Deadline June 30th, 2010
Announcement of the Official Conference Program within July 31st, 2010
