Political Communication Divisions of:
International Communication Association (ICA),
the World Association of Public Opinion Research
(WAPOR), International Political Science
Association (IPSA), the International Association
for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), and
the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA).
At the IE University, which puts a 21st century
facilities and technology in a 12th century
convent, political communication researchers and
practitioners will meet for panels and
round-tables on the recent developments in theory, research and practice. .
The symposium will be structured around the
following themes: ?What can be learned from
thinking about political communication as
transnational phenomenon?? ?What are the
similarities and the differences in the European
and the US perspectives on the field?? ?What
cross-cutting ideas studied in the US need to be
replicated in other contexts?? ?What are the
challenges and the opportunities for
transnational cooperation and international
research?? and ?How can the academic perspective
inform the real-life practice and vice versa??
