The Department of Theatre, Film and Television
Studies at Aberystwyth University - a Skillset
Media Academy Wales partner - foregrounds
research and study of the regional, national and
international significance of theatre, film,
performance and media. Applications are invited
for the post of Lecturer in Film Studies.
You should have demonstrable experience of
teaching at undergraduate level and an interest
in contributing to postgraduate provision,
including the supervision of research degree
candidates. You should be an active researcher,
with an established reputation and publication
record within the field. You should be able to
demonstrate administrative capability as well as
the capacity to contribute to programme
development. You should also have strong
communication skills and the ability to
contribute as both teacher and
researcher. Above all, you should be able to
demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and
an ability to enhance the learning, teaching and
research environment of the Department.

interests in any area of Film Studies but those
with expertise in Alternative Cinema, World
Cinema and/or Film Cultures would be particularly welcome.
