The Department of Communication at North Carolina State University seeks
a tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level starting
August 15, 2011 in the area of rhetoric. Applicants with an interest in
the rhetoric of emerging (e.g., digital) technologies are particularly
encouraged to apply.  Diversity and inclusiveness are important
departmental and institutional goals and NC State welcomes and
encourages all applicants of diverse backgrounds.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Communication or related field by
August 15, 2011 and demonstrate evidence for establishing an active
research agenda.  The successful candidate should be prepared to teach
and develop curricula for both undergraduate and graduate courses in
rhetorical theory and rhetorical criticism.  Primary duties include
teaching and maintaining an active research agenda in the candidateâ??s
area(s) of expertise as well as working with students in our Masters in
Communication and the interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Communication,
Rhetoric, and Digital Media.  For information on the Department of
