[Commlist] Vacancy professor of journalism studies and political communication @UGent

Ghent University (Belgium) has opened a fulltime position for an 
assistant professor in journalism studies and political communication.

*ASSIGNMENT*

*1. Academic education*

You will serve as the main lecturer and co-lecturer in both Dutch- and 
English-language course units in the field of journalism studies and 
political communication. Specifically, you will contribute to courses at 
both the bachelor's and master's levels that focus on journalism studies 
and on the relationship between news media and political actors. You 
will also supervise papers and master's theses and act as an academic 
advisor for doctoral students.

*2. Academic research*

You will conduct research within the field of communication sciences, 
particularly in journalism studies and political communication (politics 
and media), thus strengthening and/or complementing existing research 
within the Center for Journalism Studies 
(https://www.ugent.be/ps/communicatiewetenschappen/cjs/en/research). You 
will also contribute to securing research funding.

*3.**Academic services*

You will take part in the internal and external service provision of the 
Center for Journalism Studies and the Department of Communication Sciences.
