*About The Role:*
The responsibilities of this position will encompass the coordination of units and instruction in areas such as Web Communications, Writing on the Web, Online Games and Play, as well as Social Media Communities and Networks. Additionally, the role will include the supervision of PhD and Master's students. There is also the potential for the position to involve course coordination, thereby contributing to the overall academic structure and curriculum development. You are expected to understand the students learning experience through a commitment to high-quality, effective teaching practices. This includes the ability to integrate research, scholarship, and professional practice into teaching activities, along with a dedication to teaching and innovation.

*Key Responsibilities:*

  * Conduct learning activities online, in a distributed format, or
    face-to-face as appropriate to stimulate and enhance student learning.
  * Collaborate with colleagues to design and develop an innovative
    curriculum and learning materials.
  * Assess the learning needs of students and provide necessary teaching
    and learning support to achieve intended learning outcomes.
  * Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback on
    their learning.
  * Supervise the study programs of honours and postgraduate students
    engaged in coursework, as well as Higher Degree Research (HDR)
    students, as appropriate.
  * Stay updated on current theories and practices in the discipline and
    apply them in teaching and learning.
  * Engage in professional development activities, including peer review
    in higher education teaching, and maintain knowledge in discipline
    theory and practice.
  * Contribute to curriculum innovation and design to enhance student
    learning.
  * Perform various administrative functions related to the subjects
    taught, including the moderation and assessment of student work.
  * Plan learning activities, units, and/or courses that reflect a
strong command of the field and are grounded in research-based pedagogy.

*Essential Criteria:*

 1. A doctoral qualification in relevant discipline (or equivalent
    accreditation and professional standing for Teaching Focused
    Clinical Professional role).
 2. Demonstrated high level teaching skills and a demonstrated
    reflective approach to teaching delivery.
 3. A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary
    educational practice relevant to the discipline.
 4. An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching.
 5. Demonstrated experience / capacity to undertake unit coordination.
 6. Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal and
    organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a
    collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to
    interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
 7. Demonstrated commitment to the application of relevant and
    applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day
    performance of the functions of this position.

  * Expertise in online gaming,
  * Knowledge of social media platforms
  * Proficiency in online communication and web writing.
  * Experience in introductory first-year units
