[Commlist] Academic Position: Research Assistant, Leipzig University

We are advertising for a part-time (50%) Research Assistant at the 
Institute for Communication and Media Studies at Leipzig University, 
Germany, to work on the project “Automating Welfare: Algorithmic 
Infrastructures for Human Flourishing in Europe” that is funded within 
the new Chanse framework "Transformations: Social and cultural dynamics 
in the digital age“. In particular, the position which is scheduled to 
begin 1 November 2022 is involved in implementingethnographic field 
research, interviews and document analyses in Italy.

The three-year project aims at a comparative analysis of the automated 
allocation of social benefits in different European welfare systems in 
order to investigate the impact of algorithms and artificial 
intelligence on the future of European citizens and societies.
