Sciences, Humanities or related field


Description

Position requirements:

- Applicants must hold a PhD in Communication, Social Sciences, 
Humanities or related field.


Priority will be given to candidates working in any of the following 
areas: Public Communication of Science and Technology(Citizen Science; 
Communication for Health; Communication and Environment) and Digital 
Communication(Communication and Data Science; Digital Activism and 
social movements; Algorithmic Governmentality). Both qualitative and 
quantitative research approaches will be valued.


- Experience in undergraduate and graduate teaching: experience in 
teaching at the undergraduate level (courses and / or assistantships). 
Specialized studies or training in teaching (for example, diplomas in 
university teaching) is desirable, as is experience in thesis 
supervision and graduate teaching. It is expected that all the selected 
applicants will be able to teach in Spanish one year after being hired.


- Academic productivity in accordance with the guidelines of the 
National Accreditation Commission (CNA-Chile) of a doctoral faculty in 
the area of Social, Political and Communication Sciences.


- Experience in dissemination and community outreach: demonstrated 
ability to advise and / or direct projects or initiatives of 
dissemination and community outreach (awarded projects,

organization of cycles of seminars or talks, fairs, dissemination, among 
others).
