*Lecturer in Film Studies at the University of St Andrews*

The post will join the Department of Film Studies, which forms part of 
the School of Philosophical, Anthropological and Film Studies. The 
successful candidate will deliver teaching across our undergraduate and 
postgraduate programmes, supervise research students and contribute to 
our research agendas.  We encourage applications from scholars working 
on the Global South, but we welcome applications from candidates working 
in a range of specialisms that would complement and expand our interests 
and existing strengths (screen cultures, new film and media histories & 
historiographies, audio-visual environments, non-fiction media).

The successful candidate will hold a doctorate in a relevant subject at 
the time of appointment. They will be a scholar with a strong, 
developing research profile and a commitment to delivering high quality 
teaching within film studies. The successful candidate will be expected 
to have a range of interests, to be active in research publications that 
strengthen or complement those in the department and to be capable of 
teaching the subject to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students 
from a wide range of backgrounds.
