The School of Media and Performing Arts has a long-sustained reputation 
for innovation and enjoys a rapidly rising profile. It has established a 
highly distinctive approach towards its teaching, research and 
professional practice and offers exciting undergraduate and postgraduate 
courses across Media and Performing Arts.

We are seeking to appoint two academics with emerging profiles in Media 
and Communications. Applicants should ideally hold a doctorate in Media 
Studies or a related subject or equivalent professional experience and 
be able to engage with classic and contemporary media history and 
theories from both a theory and practice perspective.

A particular focus on textual analysis would be an advantage in addition 
to the ability to utilise web/mobile/networked and social media 
platforms for academic purposes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a continuing engagement with 
pedagogic development. Those without a teaching qualification will be 
required to undertake Coventry University’s PGCHE and/or secure HEA 
fellowship.

Successful applicants will also be able to demonstrate an ability to 
contribute to research and scholarship.
