The Department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies is looking to recruit a Lecturer in Promotional Media to help run their exciting and innovative new BA in Promotional Media. Goldsmiths MCCS Department is one of the leading media departments of its kind in the world.  It combines theory and practice across its diverse array of degree programmes. Its staff and graduates have consistently won international recognition for their research and numerous industry awards for their practice. The Department has been running MA programmes in Promotional Media and Branding for 10 years and there is now an established teaching, technical and research team in place to help support the successful applicant.

The post is practice based and you will have extensive professional experience in one or more of the following fields: public relations, marketing, advertising, branding. This will include strategic roles in the planning, management and analysis of campaigns across multi-platform media. You will have a continuing involvement and connections with these industries. You will also be educated to postgraduate level or have equivalent continuous professional development and have experience in creating and delivering teaching in universities or professional training institutes. A PhD and an interest in research and publishing in these and related disciplines are desirable but not essential. Specialist technical skills in areas such as data analytics, web design and video editing are also highly desirable.
