About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative and successful Journalism programmes in the country. We have exceptionally high graduate-level employment rates, great satisfaction in NSS, and growing student numbers.

Our unique BA (Hons) Football Journalism, combined with our Specialist Sports Journalism, Magazine Journalism, and BA Journalism, has proved a very popular choice with students. We have plans for further growth, including postgraduate programmes.

Journalism is well supported by the University, as evidenced by increased staffing levels and investment in our teaching spaces.

We are looking for people to join our team, and invite candidates with a variety of backgrounds. We need people with considerable recent experience as a practising journalist, particularly in the area of sports, football, and PR. A PhD or other higher degree is desirable, but not essential.

While these are full-time posts, we welcome applications from those looking to work part-time.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect everyone who works for us to also share this commitment and to treat people with courtesy and respect.
