Fully Funded PhD Opportunity in Creative Technology and Placemaking for 
Future of Town Centres. ....
Investigating how creative technologies can impact upon, and hopefully 
reverse, the decline of town centres in the UK.
In partnership with Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council (KMBC), 
Liverpool Screen School (LSS), Liverpool School of Art and Design (LSAD) 
and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) at LJMU, this 
practice-based PhD will focus on looking at how creative technologies 
can contribute to reversing the decline of the high street.
It is fully funded, including Tuition Fees, Maintenance Grant and a 
Project/Consumables/Training Budget. It would suit someone who has a 
practice-based background in interactive media development, games design 
and technologies such as Augmented Reality, Sensor-based Media and Mixed 
Reality and wants to use this to make a difference to places and 
communities.

You'll have access to a huge range of resources and specialists in the 
Liverpool Immersive Experience Lab (LIVELab) and the Institute of Art 
and Technology's Experimental Technologies Lab.
