*Position Summary*
The Department of Marketing and Media Management of the School of
Communication at the University of Navarra (Spain) invites applicants to
a faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank. The department is
interested in applicants who can contribute to developing a new BA in
Marketing and producing high quality research in the field.

*Responsibilities*
The intention of the below list of job duties and responsibilities is
only to describe the general nature of the advertised position. The
number of duties and responsibilities, as well as the balance between
the duties and responsibilities, may change over time depending on the
specific needs at the Department or on the candidate’s career
progression. Also, a candidate’s achievements vis-à-vis the listed job
duties and responsibilities obviously will depend on the candidate’s
past career history (e.g., seniority). We will also consider the
candidate’s trajectory and potential.
- Teach introductory and advanced marketing courses in English,
especially across three areas: Branding, Market Research and Digital
Marketing (https://www.unav.edu/en/web/grado-enmarketing).
- Actively engage in research focused on those three areas, with
research outputs that meet high international standards, including
publishing in high-quality journals and undertaking research with real
impact on teaching, practice, and dissemination.
- Advise and mentor students in the Marketing track, support student
projects, and help them connect with academic, research, and industry
opportunities.
- Engage in service to the university and the department, particularly
related to developing the new Marketing program and building connections
with the field and industry, especially from an international perspective.

*Minimum Qualifications*
- Ph.D. with at least five years of postdoctoral experience.
- Strong theoretical and critical grounding.
- Evidence of successful university level teaching and training.
- Evidence of scholarship and research productivity focused on Marketing.

*Preferred Qualifications*
- A broad professional and/or academic background with experience
working in or researching the marketing field, especially in branding,
market research and/or digital marketing.
- Mastery of various quantitative or qualitative research methods,
ideally both.
- Evidence of fund raising abilities and experience in developing and
leading major research projects and international programs.
- Knowledge of new digital and data methodologies and approaches,
especially in research focused projects.

The Marketing and Media Management Department at University of Navarra
comprises 15 full time professors with teaching and research interests
that include advertising, corporate communication, marketing strategy,
consumer behaviour, brand management, luxury marketing, services
marketing, entrepreneurship, and marketing analytics. The department has
a thriving undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio, which is built on
the research strengths and focus of department staff.
