Post-doc position for "Datafication of society" project - Montreal, Canada

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our research 
project “The “Datafication” of Society: Socio-political Issues in 
Producing and Using Public and Private Data” (a three-year research 
project funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of 
Canada).

**Postdoctoral researcher qualifications:**

PhD in a relevant field : communication, sociology, science, technology 
and society [STS] or other related disciplines

Demonstrated knowledge or interest for the digital as a field of 
research in humanities and social sciences

Knowledge of qualitative or mixed methodological research strategies

Established experience in empirical research and fieldwork

Recognised peer-reviewed publication experience

Teamwork skills

Good command of the French language (fieldwork is based in Montreal and 
in Quebec city, Canada)

*Start date:*September 2020

*Term:*12 to 18 months

*Salary:*CAD 30,000 for the first 12 months, with a possibility of 
renewal for six additional months for a total of CAD 45,000 (can be 
cumulated with other sources of funding/additionnal funding 
opportunities available)

*Location:*Montreal, Qc, Canada

Millerand, Professor at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Mélanie 
Millette and Alexandre Coutant, Associate Professors at Université du 
Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and Guillaume Latzko-Toth, Professor at 
Université Laval, as well as several masters and doctoral students.
