*Department 8: Psychology *at *Campus Landau, the Institute for 
Communication Psychology and Media Pedagogy *(Prof. Dr. Michaela Maier) 
wishes to fill the position vacancy of a

*Post-Doctoral Researcher */(Akademische Rätin/Akademischer Rat auf Zeit) /

from 01.01.2018 until 31.03.2022.

*Main Tasks: *The main tasks of the position are in political 
communication research. In cooperation with colleagues from the 
University’s research centre "Communication, Media and Politics" as well 
as with international colleagues, third party funded projects are to be 
developed, applied for and implemented. We are looking for a person with 
a clear qualification goal who is motivated in this context. The 
teaching obligation is 4 semester week hours.

We offer the integration into a dynamic, highly motivated working group 
in which there is room for cooperation and exchange as well as the 
freedom to develop one’s own ideas.

*Employment Qualifications: *Successfully completed studies at a 
university (except with a Bachelor Degree) in *communication science, 
alternatively in psychology or political science with clear 
communication science references*, relevant doctorate and after a 
successfully completed university degree, a main occupation of at least 
two years and six months.

Publication and project experience are advantageous for this position; 
very good knowledge of English is required. You like to work 
independently and have high organizational and communicative skills.

Women with equivalent suitability, competence and professional 
performance will will have preference for employment, as far as and for 
as long as an underrepresentation exists. This is not the case if there 
are such serious reasons of an applicant that are above the principle of 
equality of women.
