About the job
The Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Sound at Swinburne University of Technology will be responsible for contributing to a strand of research and creative practice in Sound, for convening and teaching into undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs, and supervising research students.

The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research effort of the Faculty of Health, Arts and Design, with a specific focus in the areas of Sound Production and/or Sound Post-Production and/or Sound Design in the Department of Film and Animation. As an expert in this field, the incumbent will deliver a variety of teaching activities for students and conduct research that contributes to the creative practice and research standing of the Department, School, and Faculty.

/Through teaching, research, and external engagement, the Department of Film and Animation at Swinburne brings together the disciplines of Film and Television, Animation, Screen Production, Games and Interactivity, and Digital Advertising Technologies. We are home to Australias oldest film school and the Department offers named degrees across a number of screen production disciplines and also contributes Majors, Co-Majors, Double Degrees, and Minors across the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Computer Science, and the Bachelor of Media and Communication. Swinburne Film and Animation is internationally recognised, being a full member of the international peak body for Film Schools-CILECT and holds an extensive list of international film festival awards and accolades for student films. The Department of Film and Animation has a strong reputation for offering our creative industries well-rounded graduates with excellent production skills and leadership qualities. The Department is home to recently completed production and post-production facilities supporting creative practice research and teaching at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus./
