The Department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies at Aberystwyth is 
looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Film Production. Part of the 
role will be developmental and will involve planning, designing and 
leading on the validation process for new taught provision in the area 
of film production. This part of the role will be bound by the 
university timescales for the validation and marketing of new provision 
and the role will, therefore, be front-loaded to the developmental duties.

Within the recognised workload allocation system, you will also be 
required to teach modules, mainly at undergraduate level, across the 
practical aspects of Film and Television provision in the department 
with a particular emphasis on contributing to and developing the area of 
Fiction Film and cinematography.

The candidate should either a) hold a PhD in film practice, or an MFA in 
film production, b) and/or have a significant professional track record 
in fiction film production as cinematographer/director on 
national/international television, in theatrical cinema, or the film 
festival circuit
