scale is subject to performance.
	
	Applications are invited for this permanent, full-time post based in
the Department of Culture, Film and Media (CFM).   CFM is one of the
largest departments of its kind in the UK. We offer undergraduate and
postgraduate degrees, and combine teaching and research excellence in
film and television studies, media and communication studies, cultural
studies and critical theory.
	The role holder¹s responsibilities will involve teaching, convening and
assessment on BA and MA modules, BA and MA dissertation supervision and
PGR supervision. The successful candidate will also be responsible for
undertaking administration relating to individual and team taught
modules, and pastoral care of students via the personal tutor role. The
role holder will also be expected to undertake research leading to
high-quality published work, and carry out individual and collaborative
research activities with potential for external funding.
	Applicants must have completed a PhD in media studies, cultural
studies, cultural industries or a related field, and have knowledge of
media communications and cultural industries. They should also have
previous experience of teaching in media studies and/or cultural studies.
In addition applicants should have established research interests in
one or more of the following areas: media communications, social media,
cultural industries, as well as a strong record of publication in
peer-reviewed journals that will contribute to Research Excellence
Framework submission. Evidence of measurable research impact is also
essential.
