      Annual salary scale: £38,511 - £48,743


  The Department of Sociology is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified
  individual to a fixed-term University Lectureship in the Sociology of
  Media and Culture from 1 September 2015 to 31 March 2017.

  Candidates should hold a degree and postgraduate qualification in
  sociology or a related social science, and be able to demonstrate
  excellence in teaching. They should be able to provide evidence of
  completed research of international standing in the sociology of media
  and culture commensurate with their stage of career. They should have
  excellent teaching and organisational skills in higher education, and
  good interpersonal and communication skills. They should demonstrate a
  willingness and ability to contribute to the continued growth of the
  Department and will be expected to make a substantial contribution to
  undergraduate and graduate teaching.
