Lecturer/Associate Professor Position in Media and Communication Studies

Applications are invited for positions in the Department of English, 
Culture and Communication at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. The 
Department specialises in communication and media studies, applied 
linguistics, literary and cultural studies. It currently has 23 academic 
staff and over 500 students. Successful applicants will have, or expect 
shortly to receive, a PhD, or be able to demonstrate appropriate 
professional experience. They will have good teaching experience and 
evidence of the ability to produce high quality research publications. 
Candidates for the role of Associate Professor should also have a strong 
track record in teaching and academic supervision, as well as an 
international research profile in their field and a successful record of 
research funding. Candidates with teaching and research expertise in 
communication and media studies; new media, interactive and emerging 
technologies and digital media are encouraged to apply.


Xi'an-Jiaotong-Liverpool University is a unique collaboration between 
Xi'an Jiaotong and Liverpool University, all teaching is in English, and 
students graduate with both Chinese and University of Liverpool degrees.
