The Department of Communication in the University of Kentucky’s College 
of Communication and Information is recruiting for two 
Assistant/Associate Professors beginning August 15, 2015. Each position 
requires expertise in communication from a social scientific 
orientation, evidence of excellence in teaching, and research and 
publication credentials commensurate with departments in research 
extensive universities. All candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in 
Communication or related discipline by the start of the position 
assignment. Preference will be given to candidates with

   1. a research focus on interpersonal communication, social 
influence, and/or digital and social media,
   2. training in advanced quantitative statistical methods, and/or
   3. demonstrated experience or potential to secure research support 
from private and federal agencies (such as the National Science 
Foundation or the National Institutes of Health).

We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the ability or potential 
to teach courses related to two or more areas of existing undergraduate 
curricula in interpersonal, health, organizational, or mediated
