"Communication Innovation Studies"

When and where: 25 –26 September, 2014 - Department of Information Science and Media Studies, University of Bergen, Norway.

Who may participate: Open for all Media and communication students and researchers holding a corresponding MA degree

Course description in brief: In this course, students will assess and analyse the various forms of media and communication change that affects the entire ecosystem of public communication, including the blurring boundaries of interpersonal and public communication. Communication Innovation Studies stands for the development of a new and emerging research field which comprises not only the analysis of the business models of incumbent media organizations and media corporations, but also the requirements of contemporary democracies in relation to public communication.

There are no tuition fees for the course, and the organiser offers a welcoming dinner and a lunch.

Credits: 3 ECTS.
