University of Leeds 110 Anniversary Research Scholarships for Session 2014/15

The University of Leeds 110 Anniversary Research Scholarships (UoLARS) are available to nationals from the UK and EU who commence postgraduate research degree study in any Faculty at the University. The Scholarships provide fees at the standard University home fee rate and a maintenance grant equivalent to standard RC UK rates.

ICS Full Scholarships

The Institute of Communications Studies, which will be renamed as the School of Media and Communication this Autumn, is offering PhD Scholarships for study commencing in September/October 2014. The scholarships cover full maintenance and fees equivalent to the Home/EU rate, for a period of three years. They support full-time study leading to a PhD in any area of Institute research activities, and are open to home/EU and international applicants.

Closing date for applications is 1 May 2014.

University Research Scholarships (URS)

University Research Scholarships are available for students from the United Kingdom and other EU countries for commencing PhD study from October 2014. Applicants must hold at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree or equivalent undergraduate degree. Up to 18 scholarships will be available to cover academic fees at the UK rate and (for full-time students) an annual maintenance grant (amount to be confirmed).

Closing date for applications is 2 June 2014.

Leeds International Research Scholarship (LIRS) Round Two

Roughly 9 Leeds International Research Scholarships (LIRS) Round 2, are available for high quality international students to commence PhD research study from January 2015. The awards cover the full cost of international fees and provide maintenance (amount to be confirmed).

Closing date for applications is 16 June 2014.
